Q: Why should I invest in the Design Leadership Program?
A: From the business perspective, the Design Leadership Program was designed to help the participants be able to bring more value to the business they lead by taking more strategic decisions, as well as bringing design to these strategic decisions. The participant will be also able to manage and grow teams, and help them perform better, enhance the quality of the design in the business, and operations, and evolve the design maturity within the organization. The program also aims to equip the participants to strengthen the organization business model, bring more diversity, ethic, innovation to the design practice as a consequence.
On a personal level, the Design Leadership Program was created to help designers become more confident in their practice and leadership, more experience in facilitating teams, managing teams and giving feedback. The program aims to guide the participant in how to develop diverse teams, articulate the value of design to their internal team and key stakeholders. The Design Leadership Program is a whole leadership training, going through facilitation and articulation of design as a strategic asset.
Q: What are the learning outcomes can I expect after the end of the Design Leadership Program?
A: The learning outcomes we expect to be acquired after the completion of the program are:
– creating a future strategic vision for your company or product
– leading and growing design teams
– pushing creativity and innovation boundaries
– setting up a team practice and culture
– measuring the value of design
– shaping your organization through design ops
– creating better digital products
– articulating the value of design and navigating the C-suite
Q: What is the difference between Basic, Premium and VIP tickets?
A: What does the Basic ticket offer:
The Basic ticket offers access to the 10 masterclasses only, excluding the regional hands-on workshops. All masterclasses happen live, and you also have access to the echos online platform where you can watch the recorded classes and surf other materials supporting the experience. With this ticket you become part of the Echos community on Slack where we deepen the exchanges that happen in the live meetings.
What does the Premium ticket offer:
The Premium ticket corresponds to the program in full, it combines the masterclasses, which are the inspirational aspect of the program, with practical exercises brought in the workshops, it includes 10 masterclasses and 10 regional workshops. All masterclasses happen live, and you also have access to the echos online platform where you can watch the recorded classes and surf other materials supporting the experience. You also become part of the Echos community on Slack where we deepen the exchanges that happen in the live meetings.
What does the VIP ticket offer:
The VIP ticket offers access to the whole journey of 10 masterclasses and 10 regional workshops (that happen live on a weekly basis), as well as access to the recordings of 1 more regional workshop included in the current cohort. For example, if you choose to participate in the workshops with the Americas region, you can still have access to the recordings of the APAC+EMEA region. With the VIP ticket you will have a 3 hour mentoring session with Andy Polaine, where you can explore your current challenges as a leader, focus on the professional traits that will help you grow in your leadership trajectory, or be guided in a personal design project you would like to strengthen.
Q: Will we have direct contact to the experience facilitator?
A: Yes, all program experiences happen live and synchronous which allow direct contact with the workshop facilitator, or masterclass speakers.
Q: What is the weekly time commitment?
A: Basic track: 2 hours a week for the masterclasses.
Premium track: 4 to 5 hours a week for masterclasses + workshops.
VIP track: 4 to 5 hours a week for masterclasses + workshops, plus extra time to watch the recordings of your second regional workshop of choice (around 2 more hours). All sessions are recorded and you can watch them until 6 months after the live program resumes.
Q: How long do the meetings last?
A: Masterclasses: between 90 and 120 minutes long.
Regional Workshops: 120 minutes
Q: How is the interaction? Is there exchange among peers?
A: During the masterclasses there are designated moments for peers to interact, either among themselves, or with the global masterclass speaker, through questions and answers.
The majority of the interaction between participants happens during the regional workshops. These workshops are 100% based in exchange. Almost all of them happen in groups of 2 or 3 people. Echos also allocates reflection moments, which are extremely important. These reflection moments can happen individually or in groups or pairs.
Q: What will happen if I miss a class?
A: All sessions are held live, but don’t worry as all classes will be recorded and easily accessible on echos online platform for you to catch up later. We strongly recommend that you watch the missed masterclass sessions prior to attending the workshop for a better understanding and applicability of the concepts, even if it is not mandatory.
Q: Which ticket gives me a certificate of competion? And which ticket corresponds to the program in full?
A: All tickets offer a participation certificate. But only the Premium and VIP tickets are eligible for the certificate of the complete program, which comprises all 10 masterclasses and 10 regional workshops.
Q: Where will I be able to access the program materials during the journey?
A: The content will be available at Echos online platform, where we share videos, activities, support materials and other information. Each participant has a profile where you will be able to manage the content and the journey evolution.
Q: Will I be able to access the program materials after the journey?
A: Ticket Basic: you will be able to access the content on the same platform for 3
months after the end of the course.
Tickets Premium & VIP: you will be able to access the content on the same platform for 6
months after the end of the course.
After this time frame your access will expire and you no longer be able to access the content. You will only have access to the content you already downloaded, the slides. It isn’t possible to download the video content.
Q: Can I download the content?
A: We will share different content for you to be inspired, to explore and jump in the design leadership world. Some of these materials will be available for download, some to be experienced only on the platform.
Q: How is the program structured?
A: The program happens in two allocated moments every week. On Mondays the class time can fluctuate depending on the week (only one class for the whole group), and on Wednesdays always on the same local time (one workshop per region, respecting the timezone).
Q: Is it okay for me to enroll on that track if I can’t make the live sessions?
A: For you to receive the certificate of completion of the program Echos will be considering both live attendance and asynchronous attendance, so you can navigate in the best way that fits your work and personal schedule.
